7/20/10: Thanks to Slash and Dave Meniketti last nights guest on ET Live and Brian Slagel of Metal Blade for sitting in as a guest host. Lot's of talk and music and calls. Slash was just back from Europe and Russia and we talked about the upcoming US tour and the solo album. Slash is a great guy and good friend and his album is killer. Good to catch up with him some and I look forward to the US dates. He said there are more G&R tunes in the set now as well as VR and Snakepit and the solo band has really come together. Real interesting was when he said he wants to do heavier metal style music in the future and that he once wrote stuff with Dave Mustaine who he regards highly. Dave and for a brief time Phil from Y&T called from their bus on tour in the US. Love Y&T and Dave as a singer and player. Cool to catch up with those guys as well and I look forward to hosting a show with them at BBs 8/7 in NYC. If all goes well I will be live next Monday direct from OKC and the Rock N America festival.
