WASP, TMS, Hall poll results more

3/14/10: Lot's of email about the WASP cancellation in NYC this past Thursday night. The statement from Blackie as to why he cancelled is in the news section on this site. Blackie is a friend and a stand up guy, so I have no reason to question his statement, but it does seem crazy that a major promoter would sell VIP packages without an OK from the WASP camp. I also think it's honorable that Blackie refuses to charge for autographs and meet & greets. I understand bands that do this to make some extra money, but think it's pretty cool that Blackie dioes not. The real issue though that I am hearing from people who did go to that show is why the hundreds of regular ticket buying public were denied a show after traveling to see WASP because of an over charge of $25 on 50 total tickets? The hundreds that did not buy VIP or care about it are not happy that this is the reason they did not see a show that night, which I also understand. I'm thinking more might come out on this soon but I was not there so don't know. I have contacted the promoter for their version of the story but did not hear back yet. Blackie was on my Sirius/XM show last Monday and did a great hour with me. He and I go way back and it was a cool conversation and I'll make it available as a podcast very soon. Blackie and Chris Holmes were one of my first ever interviews in radio for their first album. That's a story I'll tell in my upcoming book no doubt! Pretty wild. Had some friends at the WASP show in NJ Friday and that went off with no problem and I hear was great. I was on air at Q otherwise would have went.

Hope everyone enjoyed the new TMS that premiered last night with Scott Ian and Pearl. That will repeat all this week. All new show this Saturday with Rudy Sarzo. Still to come in season 4; Joe Satriani, comic Brian Posehn, Kip Winger & Reb Beach and an outakes special called "Scrap Metal".

Playlist from the Q104 show this past Friday up now. Premiered new Dio and some other cool new stuff as well.

Ace Frehley at Nokia a week from tonight. See you there. Tickets still available at Ticketmaster.

John Bush live on air tomorrow night for ET Live on Sirius/XM.

The results are in from my home page poll as to who the greatest snubs to date are for the R&R Hall Of Shame. Just in time for the inductions for 2010! Here is the breakdown of the greatest offenses of the available choices:

#1 Snub: Kiss 33% followed by Alice Cooper 15%, Rush 14%, Deep Purple 12%, Iron Maiden 11%, Judas Priest 9%, Dio 3%.
Thanks to all who votes and let their voice be heard. I understand there are many other bands people have problems with not being in, but the ones I listed to pick from are the ones thst bother me the most and seem most obvious.
