Don Jamieson - SEASON THREE HIGHLIGHTS
Anvil - Opening the 3rd Season of That Metal Show with Anvil was a great way to kick things off as our show followed the TV premiere of "Anvil: The Story of Anvil" movie on VH1 Classic. We profiled the film, which wasn't in any movie theaters or available on DVD, in the first season of TMS and since then have had Anvil on the show twice and watched the movie become an international sensation. I'm so thrilled and happy to be a part of making that happen and wish Lips, Robb and G5 all the best in the future. The show also featured a hilarious Anvil rant by Phil Anselmo who is a big fan of the band and met them in England while the TMS cameras were still rolling.

Rob Halford - What can I say? It's the Metal God. I've been a Priest fan for over 30 years and it was a great honor just to have him on our show. On top of that, Rob said right on the air that he's a fan of TMS and that he Tivo's it when he's on the road. After over 3 decades of worshiping the mighty Priest, the Metal God himself is telling me that he's a fan of mine. Incredible. Jim and I also got a metal makeover at the legendary rock shop, Trash & Vaudeville in downtown NYC. Thanks to Jimmy for all the cool rock duds.

Chris Jericho - Chris is a great guy and a great metalist. Sure he's Canadian but he can't help that. Chris and I have been debating Priest vs. Maiden, Hagar vs. Roth and other life-changing topics on Eddie's radio show for the past few years and it was so great to bring that energy to TMS.

Overkill - Loved having Blitz and DD on the show and judging from the response of the thrash metal crowd, so did they! Blitz is totally hysterical and could be a stand-up comic if he wanted to. I hope he never does though. He'd probably put me out of business!

Blackie Lawless - WASP has made two really great albums the last few years which were never released in the US (Dominator and Babylon) so it was great to remind the audience that Blackie is still alive and well and making good music. Even though I'm sure he would love to leave the throwing the raw meat at the audience routine in the past, he was a good sport about us doing a Harlem Globetrotter version of it on the show. This was also our Halloween show so we included an interview that Eddie and Jim did with Alice Cooper when he came through town on his most recent tour. Alice is a true gentleman of metal and I'm so pissed I was out of town the weekend of the interview but the guys had a lot of fun taking a tour of his infamous stage show.

Steve Vai - I had no idea Steve was such a cool and funny guy. I pictured a guy droning on about time signatures and pentatonic scales but he had amazing stories from touring with Roth and Whitesnake and his early days playing with Frank Zappa. One of my favorite guitar players from the scene and one of my favorite TMS guests. We featured the new AC/DC box set, "Backtracks" in the episode. It is an amazing collection from both the Bon/Brian eras and the box itself is a working amplifier. For hardcore fans (like me) only.

Jamey Jasta - It was so cool to add a little new-school to TMS this season. Sure Jamey is in the hardcore/metal band Hatebreed, but he is a true metal historian and has toured with bands from every genre of metal out there. Besides Hatebreed, Jamey hosted Headbanger's Ball, has a great band called Kingdom of Sorrow with Kirk from Down and has his own record label and clothing line called Hatewear. He is truly the hardest working man in metal!

Ratt - It was cool to have a legendary band from the heyday of the Sunset Strip on TMS. Steven and Warren have a very laid-back LA way about them and I am looking forward to hearing new Ratt 'N Roll in 2010. We also featured an interview we did with Joe Perry from Aerosmith (like I had to say, "from Aerosmith") where he rated all the records he's ever played on. Needless to say, Joe is his biggest fan. On a scale of 1-10, they all got a 10 or higher. And I'd have to agree!

Peter Criss - Being that KISS is the first band I ever loved, this was an amazing way to end Season 3 of TMS. We had his partner in crime, Ace Frehley on in Season 2 and it was an honor to have KISS' other bad boy on the show. We talked about penis size, the heyday of KISS and even Peter beating breast cancer. Yes, men can get breast cancer. We only included a small portion of the conversation in the show so if you would like to learn more, you can find the unedited conversation here on this site or at vh1classic.com. Peter is in a great place in his life. He's sober, making new rock music and has a hot young wife!

Thank you all for watching, sending your comments to our various websites and blogs and saying hi to us when we've been out at shows. We are all so excited to bring you new shows in 2010 so...STAY TUNED and STAY METAL!

JOE SATRIANI - We opened the show talking about super groups and what we think of them and then brought out guitar wizard, Joe Satriani. Besides his solo instrumental stuff, Joe is sort of in a super group himself, Chickenfoot. MORE
