Don Recaps Season 2 - Episode 8
We ended Season Two on a VERY high note with Ronnie James Dio and Geezer Butler of Heaven & Hell.  We talked music, sports and even some Ozzy.  The new CD, "The Devil You Know" is brilliant.  "Bible Black" is the single/video but "Eating The Cannibals" is my favorite track.

At the top of the show we discussed bands we'd like to see reunite and I said the original Iron Maiden line-up. Trunk said the original Kiss lineup and Florentine wanted Wham!  For you Jersey fans, how about TT Quick and Hades?

Our Pick Of The Week was Rudy Sarzo's amazing book about his early days with Ozzy and Randy Rhodes called, "Off The Rails."  And I am EXTREMELY happy to say that after this showed aired, Rudy's book went to number ONE on Amazon.com.  We also threw in a bonus pick - Saxon's new CD, "Into The Labyrinth" which is quite good.  It was also a good excuse to plug a bonus interview Jim and I did with Biff Byford that you can find of vh1classic.com.

The subject of our "Whatever Happened To?" segment was Rob Affuso, original drummer from Skid Row and who better to answer the question than Rob himself?  We had Rob planted in the studio audience and so we asked him "What ever happened to you?"  He is so cool for coming down and I'm happy to say that is still involved in the music biz.

The Throwdown was Better Drummer - Carmine Appice vs Vinnie Appice (who plays in Heaven & Hell).  Ronnie and Geezer are awesome for answering that Carmine is the better drummer.  We had a great laugh at Vinnie's expense but ended the segment with Ronnie saying that OF COURSE, they love Vinnie and would never do the band without him.

JOE SATRIANI - We opened the show talking about super groups and what we think of them and then brought out guitar wizard, Joe Satriani. Besides his solo instrumental stuff, Joe is sort of in a super group himself, Chickenfoot. MORE
