TMS FAQ's, plus catch the show on regular VH1!

11/17/08: Some great feedback from you guys on the first episode of TMS on VH1 Classic. HUGE news! If you don't have VH1 Classic the show will also be on VH1! Look for TMS Friday nights 11:30PM ET/PT on VH1. Now just about anyone with a TV in the USA can see the show or Tivo it. All the repeats and most airings will still be on VH1 Classic, but now you can get to see it if you don't have digital cable or get that channel! It will not repeat as often on regular VH1, so if that's all you have be sure to record it if you can't see it live. Some FAQ's about the show now that it's on the air:

Q: How can I be in the audience?

A:  We shot all of Season 1 already, Season 2 tapes in Feb of 2009. I'll let you know on the site about the audience tickets.

Q: Why is it only 30 minutes?

A:  I fought like hell for 1 hour, but VH1 only wanted 30 minutes. Fingers crossed for Season 2!

Q:Why do Don and Jim make wise ass comments and say shit about bands you love?

A: Because they are comics and it's what they do for the show! Like them or not, it gets people talking and being honest and opiniated about what we like and don't like is what the show is about. They are total legit metal fans as you will see as we go further. We break each others chops and have fun. Of course some of the editing left out some of my best lines (my response to Jim's wife comment was great, but it got cut out, I said I was to busy banging his girlfriend!). Its all in good fun.

Other stuff about the show: The show now airing was the pilot. It was shot a long time ago. That is why some stuff seemed dated. The shows that start this Saturday are much newer, were shot with a bigger audience, and the segment with Don reading lyrics never happens again. Was just something we tried in the pilot. VH1 Classic repeats the show many times during the week. There is a myspace for the show and also a page for the show with the schedule and some exclusive photos on this site. Just go to "Broadcast" and hit the drop down for TMS. Finally, I understand it's called That METAL Show, but that does not mean we will ONLY deal in heavy heavy metal. Like my radio show it is hard rock and metal! VH1 wanted "Metal" in the title, but it is all kinds of classic hard rock and metal. Getting requests from many to see their favorite artists on the show. Again, Season 1 is done. No idea who will be available for Season 2 yet. Thanks for the support, next episode premiering this Saturday at 11 on VH1 Classic features Yngwie Malmsteen.

Also, TONS of email about Boneyard and my show. Can not stress enough I WILL be back when the channel returns on January. Nothing I can do about this however I am scheduled to be on Ron & Fez at 2PM EST this Wed. Call in and say hi! Thanks.
