8/26/08: Huge show last night on XM. Live interviews with Lita Ford, Tony Iommi, Rachel Bolan and Dee Snider. As always you can podcast for free some of my interviews at www.xmradio.com/podcast. Got everyone psyched up for Rock The Bayou this weekend in Houston. The Boneyard is there all weekend with Kevin Kash hosting and I'll be MCing the event Monday 9/1 and doing my show "Eddie Trunk Live" from the event for Labor Day. Lots of interviews all weekend and coverage on the Boneyard XM 41. If your coming to the event I hope to meet you there. I am only there for a short time, arriving Sunday night, hosting Monday, out Tuesday, but still try and say hi if you see me floating around. Should be a fun festival and tickets are still available at www.rockthebayou.com.

Exciting news for the Q104/syndicated show. I will be announcing a new major market that will be adding the show any day. As always, if you do not hear the show on your local FM station, let them know you want it. All they have to do is want to broadcast it and it can be on your station. Your support and letting the station program directors know you want it helps greatly. Also, FYI, it is not up to me as to the days and times the stations air the program. I'll be announcing our newest major market very soon. Great response to last weeks Metal Summit with Piazza, Jericho and others. Drop me an email and let me know what you think of our all talk special shows. Also lot's of response on both shows to the new Metallica song. I think it's really strong and a great return. Kind of surprised how split the reaction is. My only issue is the audio quality. Indications are that some of the distortion is actually intentional, which is the craziest thing I ever heard. The label sent me a slightly cleaner version, but it is still baffling why Metallica and Rick Rubin apprently think overmodulated sound is cool? I'd just crack my speakers if I wanted that! No issues at all with the track itself, just want a great sounding version. Lets see what the full CD sounds like.
Many have emailed about our annual Halloween party this year. Having some talks now with some bands and I'll make an announcement soon when we figure out the plan. I'll also be announcing the premiere date for my new show on VH1 Classic; "That Metal Show", after Labor Day weekend. We will be shooting six more shows in NYC late Sept and October and I will also post how you can be in the audience. As always keep an eye on the site.
