8/1/08: Just got the new Aquarian/EC Rocker which I am on the cover of. This is a paper I grew up with in NJ and it's an honor to have my 25 years in radio celebrated. An even greater surprise was that there were several people and artists that took out ads thanking me for their support. Really cool and I am very appreciative. So many have contacted me publicly and privately to thanks me for my support over the years and it really means a lot to me to know I played a role. So many great friendships have come from this and of course it all comes together this Monday when Judas Priest plays a private show in my honor. Still hard for me to believe this is happening! So many to thank, so many things to say about this milestone, but I'll save it for after Monday. My Dad gave me a ride to my first Priest show at the NJ shore in 1980, and I won my first Priest album that year on the boardwalk in Seaside Heights. Without my parents love and support for me and the music I was into as a kid, Priest would not be doing this for me 28 years later! Making it more special is that both of my parents and my wife will be there with me this Monday at The Hard Rock as well as so many close friends. Ace Frehley, Vito Bratta, Mike Piazza, Ronnie James Dio, Geezer Butler, Vinnie Appice, Tony Iommi. Carmine Appice and countless others have all said they will be there. Thank you all. I must thank for the first of many times Jayne Andrews, Rob, KK, Glenn, Scott, and Ian, John Pasquale and Dave Miller at The Hard Rock NYC and Erik Lufgtlass and Glen at Legends Harley.
